- All workshops will be held at UM’s Sculpture Division Studio.
- Workshops begin on Monday 3rd of May at 9 am and continue Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am – 12 midnight. Additional after-hour access provided as necessary. No mold-making after Thursday 6th.
- UM will provide a trained work-study student during workshop hours that can assist the workshop artist and facilitate tool usage, maintenance, and general housekeeping.
- UM’s studio is an open-format space. All the “areas” are really in one large space. Sand molding will be held in the west end of the shop, Ceramic Shell will be held in the Shell Room, and the Pattern Workshop will be in the Wood Area and the General Work Table Area. The Fabrication Area will be kept clear to aid in pour preparations.
- Workshop Artists will have a set of waivers and safety requirements involving the mixer, resin, carving, silica dust, lifting, and helpful tips specific to our facility.
These will be available as handouts on Monday 3rd.
